About ServerSloth
Instead of only learning what happens when a server receives too many requests, build the architecture, generate the traffic, observe the bottleneck, add infrastructure and understand the mathematics behind the fix.
Principles
- Mathematics over mock behaviour. Every component follows a documented model: queueing theory, Little’s law, token buckets, hit ratios, quorum probabilities.
- Simulation over decoration. Animations show real simulation state — every dot is a request.
- Deterministic. The same design and random seed give the same result, so experiments can be repeated and compared.
- Honest about simplifications. Where a product is modelled approximately, the simulator says so.
Who makes it
ServerSloth is built and maintained by FerrixLabs. ServerSloth™ and its logo are trademarks of FerrixLabs.
What you can simulate
212 components from AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare and open source, 33 failure modes and 9 reference architectures.
